There are all sorts of different collectors out there, some people are interested in stock piling postcards, others stamps or spoons. The guys behind Jive Time Records, a Seattle-based store specializing in used vinyl, make a habit of collecting vintage album covers. More than that, they group and categorise them according to their motif: circles, dots, squares, lines, stripes or arrows. Definitely makes it fun for browsing.
The result is Project Thirty-Three, a growing collection of vintage album covers that convey their messages with only simple shapes and typography; a minimalist approach to the overall design. The website features over 430 covers and the collection keeps growing. Enjoy!
